I am walking my Chihuahuas, Paris and Tinkerbell Hilton on their daily Robertson Blvd. Patrol, searching for suckers to give them attention, and tell them how fabulous they are.

This is always quite a hit, and can take quite a while to go 2 blocks. These older ( 50+ ) ladies, stop and I think they are also wanting to fawn over my Chi’s. Their conversation then turns to GOD ? and they slip me a colorful brochure, with a handsome black man ala Obama, and a black female, who looks like mix of Hale Berry’s little Sister, and Christie Brinkley, foxy, they are sitting in a field with baskets of pumpkins and apples, large antlered Mousse grazing in the background, and a hot blond is on a horse approaching also ? These people are not from around these parts. Being the polite Minx I am, I take the brochure, pretend to give a rats ass, and tell them I will read it over, as “anything positive works for me”. Then they start telling me that “All Suffering SOON TO END” which is also the actual heading on the brochure, must be their latest campaign. At that point, they have crossed the line into the “I got to get away fro this crazy ladies pronto” pretend my phone is on vibrate, answer a fake call, and skedaddle as fast as Tinkerbell and Paris’s chicken sized legs will carry them. They shout after me, telling me to visit the website on the back of the brouchure. If I post the link, does it make me also a Jehovah’s Witness, spreading the Word ?. I think I’ll stick with Kabbalah way more hipper, J.W’s have a bad rap. I remember my posh British Mom/Mum telling me when I was a kid, not to answer the door in case it was Jehovah’s witnesses. These cats have been around a while, knocking on doors, and speading their word.

What prompts people to engage in such activities ? Do you, or would you ?

I talk to my friend and neighbor later that day, she warns me that Jehovah’s Witnesses are knocking on doors, buzzing buzzers, and trawling the neighborhood, so watch out !! “they already got me” I reply.
