Who remembers the movie Lover Boy, staring a puppy chow version ( young )  of Dr McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey ? I watched it on VHS ( gasp, how retro ) over the Holidays, at a obsessed fan’s house.

I spotted him at the deli counter at Bristol Farms, here in Los Angeles, approx 5 years ago, pre-Greys Anatomy. We arrived at the same time, and he let me go first. I thought, here he is, ordering cold cuts, the slightly awkward teen star, got all grown up. A few years later, he is catapulted back to the B list, and reclaims his status as a “lover boy”, which I applaud. Sorry, me going off on a tyrant,again….. I tend to do that, so much to say !

Anyways, we watch the movie. Patrick Dempsey plays a teenage pizza delivery boy, who ( attempts to ) gigolo older, Cougar type broads. When they order, the owner of the pizza parlor knows to send Patrick’s character when the lady asks for ” extra anchovies” After the movie we call a hip spot, not a chain, and order pizza, extra anchovies ( movie code word ) of course, wink, and wait for a hot Lil  delivery guy to show……..instead a Sasquatch shows, grabs the cash and scarpers, scared of us wine drinking blond mafia.

I asked my friends, ” when was the last time you had a cute delivery person ?” “NEVER” was 99 % of my responses.

So, I guess its only in the movies….
