THE OFFICIAL MINX MOBILE – 2009 BMW 328 CI.

I think the fact that this is my 4 th (white) BMW 3 series convertible, that ME LIKEY.

MINX’S GIRLIE REVIEW OF BMW 3 SERIES

Like most girls, we don’t want to know what’s under the hood. We only care if its cute, and gives us no grief ( did that sound sexist ? )

What I like the best about the 2009 ? the hard top convertible. No more canvas roof, yeah.

New 2009 features – Drive and passenger doors have fold out pockets, so more room, more discreet for “light fingered” valets or car wash personel. ( like you have not gotten stuff jacked out of your car before ? )

The rear view mirror tells you if you are traveling North, South, East or West, someone tell them thats what navigations for, I don’t need to know if I am heading North West, its not Christopher Columbus era ?

 Cup holders that extend out of the console, which are okay. Kind of flimsy, that they could break if some heavy handed passenger tries to stick a 7/11 Big Gulp in there. No Likey the cup holder by the hand brake, weird shape. Seems more for phone, or PDA.

Lighted door handles. If you can’t see the door handle, you should not be driving. Everything is remote, so its not the era of putting the car key in the lock to open the door anymore.

The BMW ASSIST is kind of cool. If the car is hit, resulting in a air bag deployment, BMW ASSIST is notified. They then come on a speaker by the rear view mirror and ask “hey, do you need emergency services ?” They can also unlock your car remotelyfrom their “command centre” I guess if I don’t pay my lease, they will remotly stop the car from starting ? Those crafty Germans have it all figured out….well, kind of.

No Likey – to make room for the hard top, you loose major trunk space. If you leave any items to the left or right of the trunk, it can stick – found out the hard way. 

They moved all the controls around, so still fumbling around to put the window down….Now the window controls are on the driver side door, instead of previously by the shifter ( is that what you even call it, gulp, I really don’t know cars )

I am thinking of sending this to BMW -

“Dear folks at BMW, I think you should sponsor Minx In The City, and give me a courtesy car. Why ? well, one of your vehicles appears in the video Minx Montage Mix, I’ve leased 4 now, and I wrote this kind of stellar review….You could twist my arm into upgrading to a 6 series convertible, white with tan interior please. I promise to drive it sensibly, and never after consuming libabtions, hic. Thanks Minx cruising around the City, BEEP, BEEP ( that was me in my new 328 Ci)”
