PEDI PAWS SCAM – NO LIKEY !

I am sure you have seen the info commercial for PediPaws ? Its this device for trimming pets nails. Since my 2 Chihuahua Divas are always needing mani-pedi’s, I ordered one.

BIG MISTAKE !

Hopefully I will save some of my readers some cash and hassle, by sharing my tale.

I ordered a Pedi Paws, perhaps after they threw in the FREE shedding comb. Tinks leaves a tell tale trail of black eyelash like hairs everywhere she goes. (Hey, there are some on this laptop right now, yikes ! )A shedding comb might help ?..

I wait 1 month…..when it was only shipped from less than 10 miles away ? I open the box, and the pretend “shedding Tool”, resembles a cheap plastic comb. The much anticipated Pedi Paws looks like a Medieval Torture device. Both lame items are tossed into the cupboard with other pet impulse purchases. Dog Translator or Dog GPS anyone ?

Soon there after my mailbox is full of loser catalogue’s for hard to get around old people, and those who are tragically un-minxy. Yep, I am now on “will buy any crap” list.

DETECTIVE MINX IS ON THE CASE !

Last week I receive a check from Pedi Paws, for $8.25. Its disguised in one of those tear off the perforated edges checks, with no enclosed letter. The check is made out to me, and all it says all over it is PEDI PAWS. I assume its a refund from everyone complaining, or from over charging on shipping charges. I cash it.

A few days later, I notice a charge for $139.99 on my credit card…..I call to inquire. After talking to some shady telemarketer, who after much ambiguous communication asked “Did you cash a check recently from Pedi Paws ?” Then it clicked. By endorsing the check, you are agreeing to a years worth of some loser “buyers advantages” ? PLEASE.

After Mr.Shady was done with giving me the hard sell of everything they offered, but I did not need. I was put through to a cancellation line.

Now its wait and see if I get my bone$ back…..

HOW LOW CAN YOU GO ? AND HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL CASH THE CHECK, AND MISS THE CHARGE ON THEIR CARD ???

If you bought a Pedi Paws, if you receive a check. Tear it up – that $8.25 will end up costing you – $131.74.

WE NO LIKEY PEDI PAWS AND ITS AFFILIATES
WE NO LIKEY PEDI PAWS AND ITS AFFILIATES

Update – $139.99 was credited back on my card – so in actuality, I am up $8.25, but still stuck with a plastic comb wanna be shedding tool, and a Medieval grinder aka PediPaws  !

The saga continues….I got another “”looks legit” perforated check for $10 from the same company who charged the $139.99 to my credit card.

I ripped it up….YIKES. Now I am on tactical alert.

Another Update !? Yep, those crafty scammers sent another check, different colors, red, white and blue like an Airmail Letter, straight to the trash. What’s there next plan of attack, putting money in my checking and if I don’t contest it, I’m suckered into another $139.99 charge. Yikes. All this over a useless product I bought online.

YIKES, THE SAGA CONTINUES -

5/26/09  = Another $139.99 charge was jammed through over the Memorial Day weekend. TLG INDENTITY SECURE 1 888 334 9406 I call and simply ask for my money back. 1 year of identity protection – I feel my identity/financial info has been sold to any unscrupulous business by Pedi Paws anyway.

Then I request the “complaints line” for Pedi Paws – and ask to be “taken off their list” telephone number = 1 (800) 777 4034 I will remain on TACTICAL ALERT for the foreseeable future, as this is LAME.

How many unsuspecting consumers have been hood winked, by these ambiguous tactics to extort funds from them ?

July 2009 – tear off checks in all colors, fonts and disguises arrive weekly, and go straight in the trash.

Minx : WOW! I remember you telling me about this but it didn’t sound as horrific until I read through the ordeal.

So, did you ever use the Pedi Paws or were you afraid to? They sell them at Petsmart now, so no need to order them.
I have had funds extorted from me. You have to read slowly and carefully and know for sure when you didn’t check the box for the extras. They know you didn’t check the box. Fortunately, I was within their cancellation/refund time and I didn’t get a hassle when I called and asked to be taken off the list and for a refund. I also told them that I remembered that service being offered and I know I didn’t check the box for it. Nice try!
I found your blog looking to see what a Minx Manicure/Pedicure is. LOL!

If you want a pet nail trimmer that really works, try Peticure. They are great folks to work with, won’t scam you and the product really works. Mine burned out, but it was my own fault. I plugged it in to the wrong charger unit. I am going to order another soon.

Too crazy! I already knew that PediPaws was not a good product but I had no idea that they were scamming people like that. That is awful. Thanks for letting us know!
