Finally, the First family have found their Whitehouse pet. His name is Bo, the 6th month old Portuguese Water Dog. Bo’s is black, with touches of white, how Obama-ish The rare breed is hypoallergenic, just like a Poodle or Bichon.

Returned to his breeder, as he did not work out with his previous owners. What was a headache for the Breeder, has now catapulted them into the media spotlight, and I am sure a waiting list for any future litters. What exactly was the problem ? Is this a possessed Devil Dog ? will he press the RED button, in the Oval Office, and end the World ? Yikes.

I do hope he is fixed, or is scheduled to be soon. Un fixed males tend to be naughty, engaging in the following behaviors =

Marking his turf ( the Whitehouse ! ) leaving a trail of  “PEE MAIL”, and humping Obama’s leg…,escaping to court neighborhood females in heat ( I was referring to canines

SEND AIRFORCE 1, AND WE WILL COME FOR A PLAYTIME !

Nothing involving “water” as Chihuahuas are SO not water dogs.

Being a huge adoption advocate. I was really hoping they would rescue a mutt, or a more common breed. Choosing such a rare breed will increase demand for them, resulting in more people breeding them for inflated asking prices and profits. In all my years in the Dog World, and volunteering at Rescues and Shelters, I have never met a Portuguese Water dog ?

Whilst, shelter dogs and those on the fast track to “doggie death row” suffer and record numbers are euthanized. Why basically buy a dog, after promising to adopt ? There is a big misconception with the public, that pets up for adoption are in some way “defective”. Both Paris and Tinks, my Chihuahua Divas are both adopted. I try to do my part in Rescue P.R, and know I have opened dozens of peoples minds, to the option of adopting a pet. Imagine the positive impact of a World leader, choosing a pet from a City Shelter ?
